The town I was raised in didn't have even one stoplight. I wouldn't trade my upbringing for anything different. Growing up in a close knit community teaches a person a lot about the importance of family and the lasting effects of loyalty. Even though I am a small town gal at my core, I've always had an appetite for city life. Big city=big energy. After college at the University of Oregon, it only took me a month to get down to Los Angeles. Some say it was a risky move being that I didn't know anyone down here and because I was a starving post grad, but I trusted my intuition and it has been one of the best decisions I've made.
My past lives include: secret agent, palm tree, and dog. I have a deep affinity for straws, the bendy kind.
My eye for photography started to flourish at a very young age. I would take my parent's point and shoot digital camera and venture to the backyard to catch images of the flowers or snap a photo of a tomato in the garden. To encapsulate a moment in time with a photograph quickly started to become a passion. In a world where we so rarely give attention to the present, I thrive to catch the beautiful in between moments we so seldom passover.
